I am enjoying pianoteq much more than any sample pianos.

This guy has several videos including performing on real pianos and others using Pianoteq, like this:

I upgraded from Stage to Standard and I'm glad I did. Being able to move the virtual mic's around is so much better than relying on the presets.

Truly tempting, but tough when one already has Synthogy Ivory II and OTS EV Rosewood Grand (which will get a major update shortly).

Always open to new ideas that apply, but even demos have not persuaded . yet

Biggest change for me would likely be updating Roland KR577 to something lke Kawai MP11 . Whew !! real commitment

One can never have too many software pianos! But seriously, I find Pianoteq to be so very responsive and alive, and find that I enjoy playing it over the native sounds from my Roland RD800.

Just indicating leanings toward acquiring Ravenscroft as it seems such a strong contender! Since I have IvoryII Italian, it's tough to purchase with no available demos to trial on my specific system(s). Audio tracks, yes, but cannot really compare to IvoryII.

Your post is truly intriguing to me as you are impressed with PianoTeq5 even with what you own. It would be most helpful to hear what is lacking OR what incremental gains you notice with PianoTeq5. I'm always searching for improvements in my Libraries and remain open to Modartt offerings if they are a true enhancement.

thank you.
hmmmm, let me try.
I only checked out the demo for a few minutes.
what grabbed me:
clear, pretty, open sound.
liked the tone, the fast response.
struggling to find right words. will keep trying.
no mud.
oh heck, I liked everything about it.
wondering now about other pianos that they offer.
edit: note I said nothing bad about what I already have. thats because I like those too.

Appreciate your 'personal', candid observations, especially given experience with IvoryII and Ravenscroft
Word descriptions are sometimes tough and everytime I do careful comparisons I come back to IvoryII Italian.
My playing keyboard is Roland KR577 Digital Piano and Velocity settings have real importance for me.

I 'think' I'm looking for something 'bigger' and Ravenscroft implies this, along with Audio tracks provided. OTS EV Rosewood Grand sounds 'bigger', but when playing fav music, I get some unpleasant Velocity surprises. No doubt these can be adjusted better, and my touch control is surely not ideal

Just re-downloaded Pianoteq Demo with open mind (I think!)

Thanks for helping

I've chosen to enable several extra pianos in the sale.
I'm only playing piano for fun too. Pianoteq is much more pleasurable than any of the sample pianos I've tried.

I played with the demo for the Standardversion too (still using Stage). I really like the microphone and room interface, that's pretty cool. It's a cut above just playing with reverbs. The piano tuning OTOH is limited considering the price hike over Stage (even in the sale). At least they do not charge you extra for upgrading Pianoteq to Standard.
I will probably go for Standard upgrade in a future sale, but for now the extra pianos are better VFM pianoteq free - Free Activators me.

The "free" pianos are every bit as good as some of the retail pianos too BTW. You only get to try those when you've bought a product.
The Pleyel 1926 and Erard 1922 are to my ears the best of the historic pianos from Pianoteq, the Pleyel 26 tone is lovely. I like the CP80 too.

It sounds decent enough. For my own needs Pianoteq is going to cover all bases and then some. I now feel it is no poor relation to the best sample libraries.
I do not have a fast connection anyway so the fact that I can get a iobit uninstaller 9 key - Crack Key For U flight piano package instantly from Pianoteq without the hassle of massive sample downloads means I personally wont be bothering with anything else, unless it comes in NI Komplete box sets.

A few days left to decide. the demo version really sounds great
What's the protection system? Does it need online connection to play? To activate? Can I install it in two computers? The main daw and the laptop for when I am not in the studio?

Here's the activation FAQ: https://www.pianoteq.com/faq?category=activation

You need a computer with internet connection to activate, but your DAW machine does not need to be connected to the internet. You can install on 3 machines.

Serial number with Driver Finder Pro 3.7.2 Crack + License Keygen Free Download activation. No connection needed to use it.

Activations are limited to 3 computers

I recommend going for Pianoteq, when I first demoed it I remember that it grew on me slowly. At first I felt I could hear too easily it's shortcomings, but soon the situation reversed and nothing else I tried had the living quality it does, which I began to miss.

I'll probably take advantage of this sale too

Several years starting with IvoryII Italian Grand, then Komplete10 Ultimate libraries (Grandeur, Maverick, Alicia's Keys)then Orange Tree samples EV Rosewood Grand.

IvoryII Italian remains 'go to' choice for my styles, capabilities.

Hear 'differences', some better/lesser, but nothing close to $223. INCREMENTAL value.

Surely hear reasons why those wise care 365 pro crack - Free Activators FIRST Library would include Avg internet security 2020 license key lifetime in their shortlist.

I have no desire to use other libraries now. Some of the free pianos are actually still some of my favourites. That's with several piano packs courtesy of the sale.
You cannot demo the following KIVir pianos, only listen to examples (purchase Stage or above and you can use these):

Not tried that, but any easy way around that would be to go into FX and change a parameter ever so slightly (say reverb volume up or down slightly), then save that as your own preset. Hey presto a favourite.

I fell in love with pianoteq free - Free Activators of those when I first got Stage. They are absolutely beautiful.

I did also purchase the marimba and vibes, plus the upright because I tend to prefer them over grands, but other than the electric pianos I think I'm done (and I might stick with Arturia for electric pianos).

Having got standard Pianoteq in the sale, the microphone emulation is everything I hoped for and more. It adds something that no sample library could give, and the ability to play with the phase relationship of multiple mic's to adjust bass response is outstanding.

I enjoyed the Vibes. I haven't gone for those though. Basically I went for all the modern acoustic pianos.
So of course I have the U4 upright too. I like lots of different piano sounds though. The upright with pianoteq free - Free Activators to wall sounds very homely, familiar, raw.
I suspect a lot of people want that from a piano VST. Like they could've easily miked it up in their humble home, with an old piano.

Microphone positioning is a very cool feature in Standardstill feels a little expensive though. Next sale probably get that.

I have AAS Lounge Lizard, it's my favourite electric piano VSTi. Also physical modelling, but much more adjustable, so I make lots of patches. It's on 50% off sale at moment BTW.
I also have Scarbee Vintage Keys.

I've already got the Arturia Wurli and Vox Continental, so Airserver 5.5.9 crack good for those kind of sounds. I'm a big fan of tuned percussion, especially marimba, so that was the first pack I bought for Pianoteq. I actually use piano less, so the historic pianos included for free and the upright are more than enough piano for me

The mic emulation was the only thing I was missing, so I jumped on Standard as soon as I heard about this sale.

@Judders, @Commala. Thank you. I should have searched better on their site about it. I like it is a key number system with 3 computers. Excellent! I think the difference in price between stage and standard was a bit high, but it is good with the sale.

Yeah, but at least you don't lose any money by upgrading. I had stage for quite a while, and only jumped on standard in this sale because it's the first time I've noticed it on sale at all.
